I want to do this but I can't get myself to do it, I guess I'm too self-aware. Does this come naturally for you to do or did you have to push your self hard? How did you start?

I just continually see people I very much like and respect posting stuff on there and the whole thing makes me want to vomit my lunch. I have a profile but wouldn't ever consider posting, liking, boosting, whatever it is you do. I'm very lucky in that I don't (currently at least...) need to promote myself, but I've been kind of shocked that all these people I know seem to be extremely active, and in a not-very-self-aware kind of way.

I guess it's the only place on the web now where people can post updates / follow people that isn't 1. so niche only 3 people are on it (federation), 2. twats and bots (X) or 3. narcissists (insta)

What causes this style of linkedin posts anyway? What causes so many people to adopt that writing style?

The one where there's some short paragraph intended to evoke some feeling or thought, then longer ones that elaborate on it in some way. Or something like that, not sure how to describe it.

BTW its puzzle games are what keeps me coming back every day and see those posts :p

Every single self employed person must put themselves out there and market/advertise. It isn’t a lack of self respect that leads people trying tactics to bring inbound it’s quite the opposite

You're a good follow there.

To escape the walled garden, I've ran a script to download all posts (JS to scroll down my feed, wait for the lazy loading, click on all "more..." links, wait for the lazy loading again, everything in a loop, then download the entire thing when there are no more posts). Then ran another script to convert those to blog posts, then posted them on my personal site.
