Define intrinsic value in a measurable way that does not depend on any specific human’s subjective estimation.

Is it useful? If not, it has no intrinsic value. It might have emotional value, either by being a memento, something of historical significance..., or something to calm the the dreams for quick, easy, and abundant money.

Reminds me of that time when, as an undergraduate, my "team" entered a Problem Solving Competition and couldn't choose one of the two problems so we did both in parallel. One of us wrote a program in BASIC on a Tandy 1000 that the rest of us estimated would take more than a google years to finish, but he wasn't be dissuaded and let it run the whole weekend. I made an analysis that was mostly correct but was off by a…

I think the number is spelled googol .

You only need to sell one at $50, then market cap does the rest and you are boundlessly rich.

And then countless politicians will blame you for not paying for everything out of your market cap.

Yes I want to be a billionaire when it comes to:

* Public image

* Borrowing power

* Atttacting investors

But a pawper when it comes to:

* Paying tax

Then why do they pay so much tax? Top 1% pay 50% of the tax or whatever, and some of that other 50% of tax is actually just the public sector paying tax back, it's not a net contribution.

More like countless CEOs will claim that having to pay taxes on that wealth will destroy society, despite no jobs being created to make the product and the product itself have zero value to society.

Well yes, you shouldn't pay tax on that, and it would cause huge problems. If your house increases in theoretical value should you pay tax on the increase? Or only when you sell the house?

Is a dictionary definition insuficient?

useful

- Having a beneficial use; serviceable: "a useful kitchen gadget."

- Being of practical use: "a useful job; useful members of society."

- Full of use, advantage, or profit; producing, or having power to produce, good; serviceable for any end or object; helpful toward advancing any purpose; beneficial; profitable; advantageous: "vessels and instruments useful in a family; books useful for improvement; useful knowledge; useful arts"

You do understand this is exactly how property taxes work, right?
