A genuine question for the people here, I am just a college student so maybe I am missing something, but does anybody actually browse through linkedin? The only times I actually open it up is when either I did something that I would like to remember when I update my Resume at a later date, or when my friends text me to open it up and like their post :)

#93Too bad the thought leader is spewing 500 Internal Server Error. "Oops! Our thought leadership engine is experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again." isn't something I'm proud to post to Slack.
I created a similar tool a year ago -> https://infiniteutils.com/internet/linkedin-post-generator

It seems that an LLM is deliberately being forced to generate in the style of LLM slop.

Connected with the CTO of a $1B Israeli company over LinkedIn and was on a plane to Telaviv a week later. They ended up acquiring my co.
My second startup partnered with the worlds largest ed tech co in cybersecurity (with their head of learning dev) off the back of a cold our reach on LinkedIn ..
If u learn to not be super fragile and bothered by all the cringe content .. it’s basically ur personal M&A firm. Gives u tremendous leverage for partnering, sales, intros without needing some fancy old boys network.. or startup incubator bs

Linkedin is just glorified contact list. People lose their email addresses, change emails with a job, lose phone numbers, move countries, stop using social networks, but usually keep using same Linkedin profile over decades. Also in many social situations such as expos, meetups and such asking for a personal whatsapp or phone number can be a cringeworthy especially if you actually want to followup with some business…

#100Been laughing for the past 10 minutes, thanks for this one. (I tried the death of my cat by car in front of my house in a Go Girl manner, absolute cinema)
Can you post the result? My attempt of "Using AI for a novel financial scam" / "You go girl" didn't go through.
It was a Tuesday. A sedan. A tabby who had genuinely never once respected a boundary in his fourteen years on this earth.
And in that moment, watching him go, something shifted in me.
Because here is what nobody tells you about grief: it will make you walk into the street in your bathrobe, screaming at a departing Camry, completely unhinged, in front of your entire neighborhood.
And THAT is when the sisterhood showed up.
Three women from my street — women I had waved at for six years without learning their names — came out of their houses. Not to comfort me. To scream at the Camry WITH me.
We did not know each other. We did not need to.
We were simply women, in various states of morning dishevelment, collectively losing it on a residential street at 8am, taking up ALL the space, unapologetically.
Mr. Whiskers would have hated every second of it. He was famously not a team player.
But we stood there anyway, four women building a table in a cul-de-sac, united by one flat cat and one disappearing Toyota, and I thought:
THIS is what they mean by collective power.
Rest easy, Mr. Whiskers. You changed the game for women everywhere.
You didn't mean to. But you never meant to do anything.
