It’s also a fun social thing especially with young kids.
Companies need to be taught that if they enshittify they die.

#32The best arbitrage was that purchasing a jar like that (empty, a la carte) would cost $3. So you were basically getting amazing ice-cream for $2. Half my pantry became reused Talenti jars.
La Fermiere makes these fancy little yogurts that are fine, I guess, but they come in these amazing little terra cotta cups that are amazing for all sorts of little organizing tasks. Each flavor's a different brightly colored glaze. I do wish they'd glaze the interior as well, though.

Haha, I have an empty Talenti jar and two La Fermiere cups in my room for trinket storage! FWIW my La Fermieres have interiors with same color glaze as exterior.

Not "everyone" -- if you're the owner of a successful ice cream brand who spent a decade grinding in the ice cream game, cashing out the brand equity and getting to live on a yacht might feel better.
And if you know the new owners will screw up your ice cream brand, you can wait a decade and do it all over again, leveraging your new wealth, knowledge, and connections to make it easier.

Oh, no! What a tragedy. I loooved them way back in the day when you used to be able to get them at Taco Bell. The inventor of the Choco Taco went to tour the factory one time while my wife was working there. I asked her to get him to autograph one for me, but she refused to. Alas.

Quite apart from the extreme sloppiness, the person who runs it is a "Development Strategist" in Palantir's sales team. I'd suggest being extremely wary about signing up with them.
