It looks like this product uses pi-agent directly (https://github.com/cloudflare/cloudflare-os/blob/main/plans/...). How come Cloudflare is not using their homegrown Agents SDK / Think / Flue harness for this? I am asking genuinely as I am evaluating a harness to build my agent platform.

It's cool that it's open-source, but how much effort and scale would it take to run it on non cloud flare infra?

How do I keep track of my Contacts? Who is allowed to read my feed? Are controls built in?

I used to read their blog regularly because it had lots of interesting technical details. Lately, though, there’s less of that, and I can’t quite put my finger on what changed. My guess is that they realized how popular the blog had become and started using that attention more for advertising. Nothing ever improves in the tech scene... it just decays until someone challenges it.
Funnily enough CF has redesigned its navigation several times in the past year, just like GitLab used to do. Shuffling the UI like a deck of cards is pretty desperate.

Cloudflare is hit or miss there. They move pretty quick so they tend to ship a lot of product very quickly that have a lot of potentials. But they are very much MVPs, and you'll hit a lot of limitations that aren't always obvious at first blush. I see a Linux distro as a "integration project", which delivers several software pieces glued together that work in harmony, which includes "OS pieces" such as the Linux kernel.

That should have been the announcement. The article posted buries the lead. Cloudflare OS reads like almost any other AI knowledge base until midway when apps are introduced and then becomes overly technical with a code snippet.
