I am a seasoned C++ developer with 23 years of experience in the industry. I have experience in Desktop, Embedded and Mobile development. I also did some back-end work and even some reverse engineering, though that was a while ago. I also have some ML experience (PyTorch) - also a while ago, but not that much. Most recently I've doing 3D graphics (simulation and later maps). My Linear Algebra is quite decent - I use it regularly.

My preferred next career move is independent contracting. 6-12 months contracts ideally. I will also consider permanent fully remote positions, but only quite senior ones - Staff Engineer / Architect level.

I've been fully remote since 2018 and I intend to keep it that way.

Hey!

We’re Emergence Engineering, a small-ish dev shop from the EU. Part of our team is looking for work, we’ve been working for US & UK based startups for a while now. https://demo.pcbjam.com/ ( KiCad, a big desktop app's web port ) is our side project, and through that we've learned a lot about Wasm and the tech around it, we'd love to work on something similar.

Also good with ops, AI & rich text editors ( ProseMirror ).

We look for a place where we can make a difference and do interesting work with a lot of responsibility, the team is well balanced meaning that we have exploring / figuring out and executing types.

Location: San Fran / Bengaluru (I split my time between the two) Remote: Yes Willing to relocate: No Technologies: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, FastAPI, AWS, LLM agents, RAG, tool calling, evals, voice AI, PyTorch, TensorFlow, SQL Résumé/CV: https://sauravtom.github.io/resume Email: sauravalgs@gmail.com

I’m a hands-on AI engineer and technical founder with 10+ years of experience building production products. Most recently, I was CTO at Delfino AI (YC S22), where I built voice agents for healthcare workflows—navigating IVRs, waiting on hold, speaking with representatives, and returning structured answers.

Previously, through xAGI Labs, I built 12+ production AI systems for startups and growing teams. I’m comfortable taking an ambiguous idea from architecture and prototype through deployment, evaluation, and reliability work.

I’m personally looking for project-based or fractional work, particularly:

- 0-to-1 AI/LLM products - Voice agents and phone automation - RAG, tool-using agents, evals, and production reliability - Rapid prototypes that need to become dependable products - Technical architecture or hands-on fractional CTO support

If you have an AI product that needs an experienced builder—not just a demo—I’d be happy to talk. Short, well-scoped projects and longer engagements are both welcome.

At Meta, I built onboarding flows across Instagram and Facebook on native Android/iOS apps, driving ~7% global DAU, and internal tools used by 500+ employees daily. In previous internships, I developed AI systems for large-scale text analysis and backend/data infrastructure to process trillions of events. Outside of work, I enjoy keeping up with the latest AI research and building side projects. I’m especially excited by user-facing systems, large-scale infrastructure, and intelligent product experiences. I want to work at a company/team with an ambitious mission and lot of hard problems to solve.

I'm a generalist with 15+ years of experience, usually on a pragmatic and minimalist side of tech. Looking for contractor work, preferably fully remote, but open to other options, too.
