As for the documents. On hat to be with you when you drive and the other should be in an secure location, since it verifies you are the owner of the car.

According to appendix 11 of the German Fahrerlaubnisverordnung (FeV) you are lucky.

#6OP, what should we take away from this article?
- if you don’t plan to stay in Germany for longer than 6 months or don’t want to drive a car in Germany it is probably not very relevant for you. Get an international driver's license if you want to drive within the 6 months limit.

There are a lot of questions. And 41 % of applicants failed the theory in 2024.
