Always amuses me when I see people fret about the Korean war never ended, true on paper, but it's like being worried about Quebec militarizing and overthrowing Ottawa.

Definitely not an argument in favour of Victoria prohibiting gas in new builds though.

I agree those people living in older apartments who don’t have an easy and practical option for externally ventilated exhaust should be subsidised for to switch to electric.

If their older house or apartment does have a fix for external ventilation, maybe a subsidy / incentive to have ventilation installed should be a higher priority.

I'm 10 minutes from Kashima (where the Aeon mall is) and the quake was violent. But that's not the worst part, it's all the aftershocks that keep coming (just had yet another about an hour ago). They've been frequent. The locals tell me that the worst is yet to come. The big quake 10 years had this pattern, a sizable shake, lot's of aftershocks, then the big destructive one hit. Everyone in the area is on edge.

Please educate yourself about the Korea border. It's an actual real thing and has zero resemblance to Quebec/Ottawa

Yep, it's been more than 48 hours since the quake, and casualty reports so far has been just 30(with hundreds hospitalized and some still trapped under wrecks). It's 3.6 roentgen situation, but for real.

I am well educated on the topic, I'm pointing out your ignorance since you genuinely appear to be fearing a North Korean invasion and when the probability is as low as Quebec to rise up against Canada.
