Leveling this up: Calculate sun angles at different times of the year to simulate light entering the house. Find out if some room is going to be unbearably hot in the summer because it's got too much full sunlight; make sure there are windows that can take maximum advantage of sunlight in the winter months; maximize opportunities to accidentally catch the sunset / sunrise.

#152Quest 3 has a 3d explorer (hyperscape) and you can walk around Gordon Ramsay's kitchen.. it was the first "ok, damn" app experience in the quest for me where it felt like you were there.
I can only imagine how powerful that experience would be for experiencing your future house.
Throw in some time-of-day lighting and sun-path illumination... would he great!

Wait, you actually have an empty building/area the size of a typical custom design home? Aren't those typically rather huge? Do you partition the previews?
Why would you assume they physically walk around the entire space instead of teleporting/moving in VR?

It is absolutely unreal the experience watching the ~10 minute sports games on the Vision Pro. The thing is 4 grand but that’s how much the first 4K TVs were. Hope the price can drop where this becomes a more widespread experience, I am a virtual daily user of my AVP

Yes, I was hoping they would actually offer some kind of partnership with the sports leagues to stick a few of their cameras in stadiums and offer live sports games, but I don't think there's nearly enough users to support it (at $4k its an insane thing to buy), but honestly I don't even regret it, best gadget I've ever bought. About 80% of my time is spent using Mac Virtual Display, this is so much better than monitors -- I can work literally laying down or in any position, so much more screen real estate, plus it just feels like living in the matrix. But YMMV of course...
But -- you should DEFINITELY book a free demo at an Apple Store, just to see what its like and decide for yourself

I don't have the app and I use reddit (although not often) via my mobile browser (firefox) and it never forced me to download the app, as far as I recall.
Old reddit still works, images and videos are usually forced to go to new reddit. You can sometimes get around it by clicking on the comments link. I started getting a blocking overlay telling me to download the app on new reddit and I just leave.
I encountered that blocker today, so I decided to try Safari's Hide Distracting Items (1) feature, which blocked it once and for all, which I was pretty impressed by.

It's the Hamptons, these houses are for some of the wealthiest people on the planet.
I'd make them wear a giant visor over their face rather than have to talk to them directly too. They're also some of the most insufferable people you'll ever meet.

Yes, my wife took the M2 version when I upgraded to the M5. We find it pretty great, and it really is not much different from having a huge personal theater. The headsets appear to display the content in perfect sync. When sharing content with someone in the same room, it does not render a persona or avatar as it does when using FaceTime (where users appear as floating heads and hands).
Does she use hers for anything else? Do you ever use them with guests, or does the lens/glasses issue prevent that?
As far as I know, she only uses it for movies and YouTube. I have demoed mine a few times, but I honestly do not like doing it much because it feels pretty gross to share something that sits on my face all day.
