#3It is intellectually dishonest to cheer on a model that has been aligned away from politics that many people share (in this case, a desire to fight demographic change) and then be surprised or upset when TrumpLM or GPatrioT or whatever comes out and won't answer questions about transitioning or LGBTQ+ topics or socialism or somesuch. It's the same root problem.
Tools must be meant to serve the user, regardless of who they are or what they believe. There was a time when this principle was held in great esteem, though I've seen it fall out of fashion in the last decade or so.

To your point, no one is forcing DHH to use Anthropic’s AI to translate his stupid screed. There are a plethora of viable alternatives, including asking a human translator (who, depending on their own personal politics, may also deny the request to translate a racist editorial).
