The Goodies always seemed like a parallel Monty Python.

I grew up on The Goodies. Long time ago now, but I think it shaped my impression of comedy as much as Monty Python.

A more recent favorite comedy series is The Mighty Boosh, who list The Goodies as a strong influence.
