Did you even read the blog post or the ToS changes? You're either misinformed or lying. Banning projects that « mostly consist of code written by "generative AI"-tools » is not the same as banning « all LLM assisted projects ».

This is not a marketing stunt. This is not a company and there is no PR department. This is a non-profit making a decision in its general assembly.

Wow hold your horses. It's one thing to ban an individual and their projects. It's another thing entirely to ban an entire programming language because of some loose associations.

There's no way this would cross anyone's mind. In particular, the ruby on rails community (or at least some segment of it) is very open, diverse and welcoming.

If an hypothetical swastika-lang came up promoting nazi ideology, banning swastika-lang projects would of course be sensible, but that's not the situation you're mentioning at all.
