Every company you mentioned has made more progress in those spaces than anyone else, and they are all clear progress towards the goals discussed.

You're mistaken. Name 3 accomplishments he made and I'll show you world class work done elsewhere by other companies. The only thing he did which was notable was Starlink and I'll gladly grant you that. China is about to eat Starlink's lunch with their own tech. Again I think people overestimate Musk's contributions to the world.

Why would you even know? Just ask an AI, they can find a lot more than 3.

"Every company you mentioned has made more progress in those spaces than anyone else" Lies. Waymo beats Tesla in FSD. Optimus is nothing while China has full fucking martial arts robots. It's 2026 where's that 2025 manned Mars mission? Where's that 2025 AGI promise (currently running itself in circles.) His solar roof tile idea was a bunk plan and any regular roofer could've told you that. China made a fucking electr…

Waymo does not beat FSD. What is your logic for that?

This is such a weird response because nothing about index fund inclusion rules has anything to do with whether or not a fund is a person. Complete non sequitur. Can you explain what you mean? Did you accidentally reply to the wrong comment?

No you're confusing where agency lies. The Nasdaq 100 is just a fund. Its existence doesn't force you or anyone else to do anything. People can choose to buy stocks, and people can choose to buy the Nasdaq 100. Or not. Nobody is making you.

>No you're confusing where agency lies.

I assure you I am not.

This is irrelevant. QQQ is the one that's forced to buy all the constituents of the index, including SpaceX. This has been pointed out to you several times, but you seem unwilling to accept that fact.

The "invisible hand of the free market" works only, if you have many market participants competing one against another. When a participant wins the competition you get monopoly, when multiple participants collude you get oligopoly, or cartel. Market can not solve this. Historical examples: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_Oil https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoebus_cartel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DRAM_price_…

If competition was economically efficient, it would happen. Monopolies prove that monopolies are efficient.

Efficient at generating the most value for shareholders? Probably. Efficient at price/performance of product sold? No.

I've ridden in Waymos. I've ridden in Teslas. Waymos do WAY BETTER. I work in LA so I have quite a lot of experience with them.

If these figure represent actual deaths (big if), those people will have died because literally nobody on earth was willing to pay to keep them alive--yourself included.

Not everyone is looking to save a buck at anyone's expense. Don't ever make the mistake of thinking we're the same.

We both know you haven't lifted a finger to help these people. You're not interested in actually saving lives, just that sweet righteous indignation (after all, it's free!)

I've been pursuing the public good my entire career, including making major career moves to improve the developing world. You've crafted a delusion to justify your clearly antisocial behavior. You have no right dictating to people that they need to do x, y, and z to have genuine ethics when you are stumping to increase child mortality in Africa. Good day to you sir!

Yes, which means that we can easily see that capitalism does not optimize for a better world or a more practical market or a better product, but instead optimizes for extracting the maximum wealth possible from the market and consolidating it as much as possible.
