David is the first instance of "awe" I had in my life. I truly feel blessed to have had that qualia, even if for a few seconds, to witness something larger-than-life. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Awe The fact that so many people report awe feelings with David hints at something very grand about Michaelangelo, or even humanity at large.

Did I feel that way because I did not expect the statute to be so large ? The strength displayed to be so soft ? Was there something in the air ?

The only other instance I had of such a feeling was at the Lake Louise, in Alberta (Canada). In both moments, I could remember the thought of seeing something that could not be in any point better than it is.

I feel the same way. I want to watch movies and listen to music and read books! I don't want to "consume content." That phrase feels like it reduces my role to just be a generic pac-man gobbling up whatever bland grays dots of vague content are "created" and set down in front of me. That's not what it should be.

I’m pretty sure that is exactly what your role is to the companies in the content business

It has a live physical instrument connotation to me as well. There are people who play synthesisers live, whether on a keyboard with a pre-set patch, or a modular synthesizer making experimental sounds. I'd call them musicians with only a little hesitation. But if they do it offline and record it? Less sure. Also, is Taylor Swift a musician?

I always read it as option b as well. I figured it meant they wanted to avoid the "too many cooks" problems that plagues all popular languages, and especially avoid extreme pressure from powerful "clients" to make specific changes. IE, was about control.

But ya, now that I see nine_k's comment, option makes a lot of sense.
