Tampa, FL | Remote (US Eastern) | Contract, ~20 hrs/week (evenings + weekends, around a full-time job)I'm a full-stack + AI engineer, 5 years in. Looking for one side engagement I can actually commit to — nights and weekends, not a flaky "I'll get to it" thing.

Short version of what I'm good for: give me a problem and I'll hand back something deployed. I do the whole thing — backend, frontend, the data model, the infra, the deploy. You don't need to spec it out for me or check my work line by line.

Day job right now: I run one whole product area by myself at a property-management SaaS — a referral and commission platform for 800+ brokers with multi-party Stripe payouts, a pipeline that turns messy call transcripts into clean CRM data and took per-call logging from ~4 minutes down to seconds, and a context layer that keeps our AI chat/voice assistants grounded in real account data instead of guessing. I also built the automated code reviewer we use, which catches a good chunk of issues before anyone opens the PR.

Before this I led architecture on a multi-product SaaS platform at an ag-tech company (built it up from scratch, centralized auth + billing, event pipelines doing 100k+ records a week), and spent a couple years on a distributed IoT platform handling millions of sensor events a day.

On my own time I built Refyn — an AI resume-tailoring tool, designed/built/shipped solo. A Claude agent that reads a job description, finds the gaps, and generates a tailored resume; vector + LLM matching under the hood, sandboxed PDF compilation, running on AWS ECS.

Live: https://refyn.live

Tech I reach for: TypeScript, Python, React/Next, Node/FastAPI, Postgres + pgvector, Redis, AWS, Claude API and Claude Code.Easiest way to find out if I'm useful: throw me a small paid scope and see. sriramkrpti17@gmail.com

Hello, I am Skinner. Senior Backend Engineer with 11+ years building reliability-critical, real-time distributed systems. Co-founder & former CTO, now back on a hands-on IC track by choice. Now moving that reliability-critical foundation toward Applied AI — especially the evaluation and reliability side, making AI outputs trustworthy enough to depend on.

Alongside this, I'm actively building two personal projects: Clearway, an AI accessibility audit pipeline focused on evals and measuring how far its own agents can be trusted, and Vox Personalis, a fine-tuned ASR for Deaf-accented speech.

Looking for: Senior Backend / Applied-AI Engineer roles (IC). Open across stages (startup to established), with a lean toward real-time, distributed, and reliability-critical Applied AI systems.
