I can thoroughly recommend. I’ve purchased it for my (then) 4 year old and it’s definitely been a great way for us to both get better at the game

On the chess app front I love Noctie.ai. Don’t be put off by the AI bit. It’s a we’ll crafted app with both short form puzzles, and longer scenarios

High quality, charming article. The Hikaru defeat mentions made me chuckle. One possibility I think you’ve omitted is that they slopped the puzzles pretty hard

Unfortunately 100% AI according to pangram (and my nose)

Its pretty clearly AI written but human curated (hopefully). To me it didnt read like unadulterated slop

Worth noting that after playing an incredibly irritatingly slow game of chess, Noctie will ask for 14 Euros a month to carry on playing!
