Even if it were true, and not just some Israel fantasy playing on a weak-minded "leader" ... Iran and the USA are in a shooting war. Why wouldnt this be considered "tuesday" ?

The whole Iran debacle is their fault, as they insisted that the regime was internally unstable and would collapse at the first sign of trouble. Now Iran has never been more united and is on track to become regional hegemon, lol.

Cartoonishly evil, reckless, and also just plain stupid.

They were always the regional hegemon next to Israel. US leaders just happen to love the canard of "they'll welcome us as liberators" because it's the only thing they can attempt to sell to the electorate.

For the most part, shooting wars avoid taking out leadership. You need somebody capable of surrendering, and with clear authority to order the troops to cease fire.

That said, the US has already broken that with Iran, so all bets are off.
