Senior / Lead Software Engineer (Remote | Worldwide)

Location: Prague, Europe Open to: Remote opportunities worldwide

Senior Software Engineer with 15+ years of experience designing, building, and scaling production-grade software across web and mobile platforms. I specialize in turning complex product requirements into reliable, high-performance systems that scale.

I’ve spent the past decade leading engineering efforts for a large two-sided, on-demand marketplace, owning architecture and delivery across customer and provider apps (iOS, Android, web) as well as backend systems. My focus has consistently been on building systems that are scalable, maintainable, and resilient under real-world production load.

Core strengths Full-stack architecture and development React, Next.js, React Native Android (Kotlin / Java) Backend & API design Large-scale marketplace systems Performance tuning & scalability Offline-first / resilient app architectures Technical leadership & system design AI-assisted development workflows What I bring

I enjoy working across the full lifecycle—from early MVPs to mature, high-scale products. I’m especially effective in environments where architecture clarity, pragmatic engineering decisions, and fast but sustainable delivery matter.

I focus on shipping software that works reliably in production and can evolve without technical debt bottlenecks.

Hi, I’m Mia. I’m a customer support / technical support generalist and frontend/full-stack developer with 2 years of customer-facing experience and 10+ years of self-taught technical work across web development, Linux/self-hosting, design, and automation.

I’m looking for frontend, full-stack, technical support, application/SaaS support, implementation, junior sysadmin, web operations, or internal IT roles. On the dev side, I’m especially interested in translating existing designs and product requirements into polished, accessible UI/UX. I can do original web design too, but my preference is implementation and product polish rather than being the sole visual designer.

At ABN AMRO I worked in Dutch and English customer care, supported customers with mobile banking and complex disputes, maintained KPI reporting, rebuilt a slow Power BI workflow into an Excel/Power Pivot version with documentation, and submitted 44 internal improvement proposals in two months.

Outside formal work I build web/software projects under mia.cx and run my own homelab with self-hosted k3s.

Open to: Senior SWE, FDE, Solutions Engineer, Senior Backend Engineer.

Hi, I'm Madison Rickert, a senior software engineer who has been shipping code to production for over 20 years. Experienced engineering leader, presently all-in on agentic engineering, shipping code daily and finding new ways to push the envelope on its capabilities.

I'm an active contributor to several open-source MCP servers, build agent-first CLI tools, solve computer vision problems, and maintain a growing library of agent skills and agent harnesses I rely on daily. For the past five-plus years I've been a partner and the in-house technical force at a creative studio. Before that, I was a senior IC and fractional engineering lead for a variety of startups and nonprofits, working across the full stack and mentoring teams of up to 5. I have a penchant for both business and personal finance. Across my businesses and clients, I've been responsible for managing organizational finances and countless projects with typical budgets in the 5 to 6 figure range. Over the years this led me into financial automation, and I have several open-source projects in my portfolio in areas around agentic financial automation and investment management. I'm also a working musician, and a hyper-organized Burning Man camp lead, best known around the Northern California festival scene for my saxophone performances for crowds up to 3,000 people.

I'm pivoting back to senior IC engineering after a long stretch as partner-operator. I'm excited to keep expanding the capabilities of AI, and my creative-tech and financial background will be a real asset to the right organization. If you're building software for creative work, media systems, music tech, financial tools, or AI tooling, I'd love to hear about it.
