TypeSafe AI | Software Engineer | ONSITE (San Francisco) | Full-time

TypeSafe AI (https://typesafe.ai/) is a well-funded stealth mode company making a new class of AI models which enable a reliable way to embed composable intelligence into traditional software, founded by a co-author of ChatGPT/RLHF/GPT4 (answering the questions "If AI is so smart, why are we barely automating any work? Why does today's AI always need a human-in-the-loop?").

We're especially looking for people to join our Synthetic Data research team - no previous data experience needed (synthetic or otherwise). We need strong engineers who care deeply about the end use cases and whose instincts are to NOT trust LLMs blindly and look at the reality of their generations (much more investigator in the spectrum of investigator vs optimizer).

Short 5 min video (of me) describing the company: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LE3bGTaAgOE

Paymail | Engineer | REMOTE | Startup Equity Only

Paymail is an invoicing and money transferring service over email. Because it's alot easier to send $50 to email@example.org than to send it to a long series of digits representing a branch and account number. In a way Paymail is an internet native payments competitor to x402.org. I'm the founder and I'm on a mission to make every bank your email provider. I spent the last year working for a banking outsourcing company and it gave me some good insights into what's possible in the FinTech world. I'm currently searching for a React+Typescript developer with good design instincts to give a huge chunk of equity to and become a cofounder of the company working with a well written medium sized React+Typescript codebase that represents our product.

Startups are busy but to get the product to an MVP stage is not very far away at all so it would suit someone looking for a potentially profitable side hustle or on a full time basis as well.

Stack: Stalwart, React, Typescript, Python, Rust, Postgres

Email me: eric at gregarious.com.au

I applied on this. My java, react, gcp profile matched perfectly but the recruiter rejected me most possibly due to my stutterring. It felt so bad. I'm capable enough, work US hours, founded a startup, founding engineer twice but couldn't get past recruiter round :(

Modal | Software Engineers (Product, System, SDK) | SF, NYC (ONSITE) | Full Time | modal.com

Modal builds the serverless cloud used by many of the most popular AI companies you've heard of. People use Modal for inference, training, batch operations and also, sandboxes. A good example is the Ramp Inspect tool, that was built on Modal sandboxes. https://engineering.ramp.com/post/why-we-built-our-backgroun... — We also recently passed over a billion sandboxes created and on our way to 2B soon.

I am one of the hiring managers here, hiring for the Product Engineering team that builds the observability tooling for our developers. Modal is the cloud for many of our customers and we help them reason about what's happening in their systems, help them expand their use and generally have a good experience.

If you are interested in a product engineering role, please feel free to reach out directly via email at can@modal.com with a recent resume. This role is NYC or SF based and is on-site, so please mention your current location to be considered. I am especially looking for folks with deep ClickHouse, Postgres, Redis, and Python experience.

Please mention how you have used Modal or similar tools in the past and link to a recent resume. Resumes and emails that are clearly human-written will go to the front of the line. I wrote this by hand, so can you. Or can you?

Product Engineering Role: https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/modal/a4b8b2b6-5d0c-4ba6-9256-b84be...

For all other roles, please apply from our website.
