Neo.Tax | Senior Full-Stack Engineer & Senior Data Scientist/ML Engineer | REMOTE (US, Pacific hours) | Full-time | $190K–$210K + equity Neo.Tax automates R&D tax credits and software cost capitalization for enterprises. We ingest data from project management, payroll, identity, and financial systems and use ML/LLMs to turn a process that used to take months into one that takes hours. Small team, real revenue, lots of hard problems in data extraction and pipelines at scale. Currently serving customers like Mercury, Brex, Notion, Adobe, and Capital One.

We're hiring two senior roles:

1) Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (7+ yrs) TypeScript/Node + React on the front of the house; data ingestion pipelines processing millions of records and flexible schemas across wildly different company types on the back. You'll own projects end-to-end, scope with cross-functional partners, and ship both customer-facing and internal tooling. Bonus: GraphQL, GCP/AWS/Azure, Terraform/DevOps.

2) Senior Data Scientist + ML Engineer (6+ yrs) Own ML/AI problems from definition through production: classification, information extraction, entity resolution, ranking, anomaly detection, plus LLM systems (prompts, retrieval, tool-calling, eval). Python (NumPy/Pandas/sklearn/PyTorch), strong SQL, and real production deployment experience. Bonus: synthetic data, RAG, experience fine-tuning LLMs.

Both are senior, high-autonomy roles--you should be comfortable breaking ambiguous requirements into iterative deliverables and reading unfamiliar code. Not a fit if you want heavy mentorship or detailed specs handed to you.

Hotwash | Founding Engineer (→ CTO for the right person) | REMOTE (US), Boston a plus | Full-time I'm a solo founder. I built the entire product myself, got 11 fire departments paying with zero churn, and now I need someone to own engineering so I can't be the only one who does. West Point, Ranger Regiment, Yale Law, still the only developer. What we do: Hotwash is an after-action review platform for fire departments…

Why are you moving from Flutter to RN?

They are moving away from FlutterFlow, specifically. That could be a good idea since FlutterFlow is going to have a tough time versus agent assisted coding in Antigravity. However, going to RN is debatable. Flutter has a lot of advantages.

Forward Deployed Engineer - backend - python | REMOTE (UTC -3 to +3) | Full time

Small stealth team in the property management space, building AI agents that run real operations, where agents and humans work as one team rather than as user and tool. Funded, profitable, fully remote, competitive comp.

We want a senior backend engineer to own a client facing use case end to end: build the backend tools and workflows our agents call, handle the jurisdiction and client specific extensions, and talk to the client directly. Pull requirements, explain the tradeoffs, own the relationship. Take messy real world problems, turn them into something agents can actually use, then keep it alive in production.

You're probably a fit if:

- you've shipped serious backend systems in production

- you can hold your own on a customer call

- you've run LLM agents in production, or you'll ramp fast: tool calling, evals, knowing when a plain deterministic tool beats a model call

Bonus, not required: containers and CI/CD, RBAC and auditing, LangChain and LangGraph, prior customer facing or operator background.

We care more about what you've built and can build than a checklist, so skip the skills inventory and tell us about something hard you shipped.

Apply: email mercedes@kinxshn.com with "HN - Forward Deployed Engineer" in the subject , your CV attached and salary expectation.

The application instructions mention an LLM honeytrap, but the application doesn't include any way to trip that trap. AND, submitting an application results in no automated "received!" email. Debugging brain says: maybe something misconfigured?

Psiphon | iOS / Flutter Developer | Toronto (Hybrid) | Full-time

Psiphon is a VPN app used by millions of people to access the open internet in regions where it's restricted. Small team, software that matters.

We're building the next-gen client app in Flutter (iOS, Android, macOS, Windows) and need someone who can work across both iOS native and Flutter. Split is roughly 65% Flutter, 35% iOS native (Swift, StoreKit, entitlements, network extensions). You'll have mentorship from a senior iOS specialist for the deeper networking work.

Day to day: Feature development in Flutter, iOS platform integration (subscriptions, permissions, App Store), and occasionally going deep into network extensions and packet tunnel providers. Small team (~3-4 core devs), high ownership, low ceremony.

Looking for: Strong Swift experience beyond just UIKit/SwiftUI app dev, comfort with the iOS ecosystem (App Store process, provisioning, StoreKit), and willingness to context-switch between Swift and Dart in the same day. Flutter experience is a strong plus but not required if you pick up frameworks quickly.
