Yes you're right, always remember who writes the article and what their interests are. AJ seems to be pro-Russia, anti-Israel, anti-USA, pro-Iran islamic "republic". The islamic republic is all about deception, cutting internet to the whole country and reopening it 3 weeks later heavily filtered. I can never believe them or any of their allies.

The Russian invasion contains disproportionately more Sunni Muslims than the population, so there’s some sincerity in Al Jazeera covering it from that side.

And I’ve seen AJ covering Shia, especially outside Iran, without mentioning the politics of Iran.

One thing to keep in mind is that Sunni outside of KSA are not very supportive of the Saudi royal family. Whereas Shia outside of Iran have a coreligionist unity. That’s how I see AJs coverage.

But why do you say it is distorted propaganda? How do you know that those bombs were not used in Gaza?

A hint would be that none of the mentioned munitions, MK-84, BLU-109, and GBU-39, are thermobaric. They're conventional HE or penetrator munitions.

If it's not outright propaganda AJ is heavily biased or misinformed, or at least it's my right to be highly sceptical of this source. I don't know if that's why the post was flagged or if it's just because it's not the right type of content for HN.

Wheter Sunni or Shia it seems countries close to Iran prefer the status quo to other options.

The people horrified at news stories like this are not the same people working in defense tech.

At least, I’ve never met someone who works in war tech who really cares. They either don’t think about it or they believe the propaganda and think they’re making the world safer. Both are bad but neither seems hypocritical to me.

Look up "where did the towers go?" on Youtube, a lecture by materials scientist Judy Wood. She argues I think conclusively that the towers were turned into dust by directed energy weapons.

(I know this will get downvoted to hell, but I suggest you find out for yourself.)
