This was part of a comment here three weeks ago. With this sort of categorization/characterization/demonization, is reasonable discussion/debate even possible here?

#2I don't think it's valid to draw any sort of conclusion about an entire community based on one commenter's statement of opinion.

Yeah. Concur. One person was as mad as hell. They had a view, but I wouldn't characterize it, generally, as the community's view. It's a bunch of all-sorts on HN, pretty much as it is in most vibrant communities. I'd prefer a robust argument to a simple withdrawal.

#5it is immoral for people to work for apple or google at this point imo. its a difference of opinion I think so we dont have to argue about it.
