#4Regardless of what information the Texas AG thinks parents should have access to or why, it's always seemed to me to be a matter of time before the monopoly status of Epic would come up.
I generally have a positive view of the Obama presidency, but I think forcing healthcare systems into EHR systems on a certain timetable was a huge mistake. It led to huge cost overruns as systems were forced to spend money they wouldn't have otherwise, on a timescale they wouldn't have otherwise, and pushed them into adopting EHR systems that could be viable within that timeframe, rather than systems that might arise organically over time.
