Well, you mentioned living in Odessa in 2022 but I shouldn't have assumed your nationality based on that, sorry about that.

And yet you're the one doing all the name calling, not me. I'll ignore this thread from now on, you're obviously not able to have a reasonable exchange of opinions. Bye.

Just turning CC=on in the video does a great job as well. They translated well, I think?

In my opinion understanding even the translated text requires a little bit more (cultural) context, which genius.com provides.

Thanks for that. I had never used genius.com for translation along with user comments. Great use case.

To offer a bit of context, the same government just voted to raise current pensions at the expense of steep taxation hikes for current workers, made massive cuts to social services, and is now discussing military service. This generation is rightfully feeling like they're getting a sore deal.

Yes and the question is who does the German state really target to enroll in their "new" army. Because "This generation" has a lot of clearly distinct groups. So it could be: - the native young population who are now flocking in the AfD - the people fighting the AfD in the street - the second generation immigrants born there - the very recent immigrants - a mix of all Because the alchemy of creating a working army an…

Easy question: all of the above. National unity is more valuable than ever.

Are 20 year unmaintained weapons an effective deterent? Would there have been capacity to resist occupation if it wasn't? Would Ukraine have been coerced into some form of union through economic means and would that be better or worse for the people of Ukraine than the invasions? All sorts of questions to ask. Yes, if our timeline was otherwise unchanged, but the nukes were kept and maintained, it seems unlikely that…

While Ukraine had Soviet nuclear weapons, it did not have the launch codes, infrastructure, technical knowledge, or the economy needed to convert them into an arsenal under their sovereign control. Moscow still “held the keys” for all of those warheads. Given how insistent the international community was on making sure those nukes were disposed of, and how economically devastated post Soviet countries were, I don’t t…

The international community allowed Pakistan and Israel to get nukes.

Not sure about refugees, but we are for sure in dire need of migration from skilled workers - health care sector is an example. It's still too complicated to migrate and on the other hand it's to still to difficult to remove criminals. The former government improved the situation, but did not fully solve the problem.

What percentage of immigrants coming from those regions would you consider to be skilled migrants? Many parts of Africa have below 80% literacy rates[1] and that's in their respective language; coming to Europe would likely mean learning a new language as well as learning a completely foreign country. If we're speaking about Germany specifically, Germany didn't colonize as many places as the British, Dutch or French…

In addition what the other user said:

It's not the average person that comes to Europe for work. The best educated, smartest people tend to come, because only they have the resources and capabilities to do so.

For example, from the very few people I have ever met that migrated from Syria (not as refugees, but regular migration), two of them were into classical music and play multiple instruments on a level that they sometimes play on public events (graduation celebration of college and alike). They also made a PhD here (engineering and medical). There's also a guy from Africa I know doing his PhD in chemistry here at the moment.

Those people are gravely missed in their home country. It's a big reason why such countries still struggle: Skilled people leave the country and migrate to Europe/US/Canada.

So there are some jobs that only a biological male can do, that a biological female is not qualified to do? If we made a list, which jobs do you think might be on it?

Nowhere near as binary as your False Dichotomy question makes it, but men are generally better suited to: dig trenches carry heavy rucksacks move weaponry and equipment by hand survive hand-to-hand combat (granted, their odds are still limited to below 50%)

Also math, being doctors, and firemen

Getting killed in war is a job much better suited to males. They are more disposable, especially now in the age of sperm banking.

And also things like math, being doctors, and firemen

Wars are won on resolve, and mercenaries don't have any. The reason so many of these people fled to Europe in the first place was to avoid getting caught up in violence. They have zero reason to fight anything except the insistence that they fight. Also, this is racist as hell, why isn't it flagged to death yet?

> Wars are won on resolve That's what Hitler thought too... From what I learned as typical 'armchair general', wars are usually won by superior logistics.

He learned that the Russians had greater resolve. The hard way.

Being firefighters, yes to some extent, because males are more likely to have acquired the physical strength needed to lift people out of burning buildings. But there are many female firefighters who excel in the profession too.

There is nothing about males that make them more suited to be doctors. We also can see that in the demographics in some countries (e.g. the UK), there is a roughly equal balance of female doctors to male doctors.

Having mathematical ability is linked to intelligence, not sex.
