With the Internet, you can now be famous, without being rich. Many of the truly rich people are quite anonymous. The billionaires you read about are really just the tip of the iceberg.

Plus fame minus rich is probably not great. You can get a lot of unwanted attention that you can't avoid by moving or hiring guards.

I've also received purchase order confirmations from Australia, building contracts from Canada, HR emails from a university to which I had to confirm I had deleted the mail as letting them know led to GDPR investigation

Even monozygotic twins do not have absolutely identical DNA. And even with clones I bet there are many errors in cell replication, besides the epigenetic differences.
