When I first watched Idiocracy decades ago, I thought it was a funny comedy. As the years came, I started to see it as a prophecy. And then, here we are, and we finally found out that Idiocracy is now a documentary.

Hear hear. Also, Carl Sagan’s famous warnings about the decline of science (from 1995) is equally prescient [1]

When I first watched Idiocracy decades ago, I thought it was a funny comedy. As the years came, I started to see it as a prophecy. And then, here we are, and we finally found out that Idiocracy is now a documentary.

I've started to feel that the movie is hopelessly optimistic about the future.

I’d love for our terrible presidents to be like Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho. Putting experts in charge and empowering them? Yes please. Instead our worst president brings the cast of “Ow my balls!” into the highest office.
