Can a robot follow your instructions ? When you come back from your walk, can you shout from outside to have it open the door ? Can you also shout from outside to have it pack up the valuables and hand it over to you ?

They will brag about each unit sold to investors to demonstrate product/market fit, and then raise probably 10-100x the sales price per unit from investors.

right now, esp in aggregate of everything it can do.
There is not a lot of probability that this robot
will deliver on its promises.
That would be a major steppig stone, possibly
worthy of a Noble Prize for someone.
I personallly would -not- want an alpha / re alpha large robot roaming my house. If it hullicinates or a horrible bug a lot of things could get destroyed in a hurry.
This feels like like Musks promises of a fully autonomous self driving car.

People act worse on the internet. Soldiers have an easier time killing with drones than in person. The ethical issue is in both directions: its inhumane to the operator, but I also don't want to feel like a fake person on a video scree…
it’s even worse, with maids, given the socioeconomic dynamics, even if they are paid low, they will be paid “local-market-rates” where by definition they will have to earn enough to (maybe barely) live nearby the people paying them, teleoperated robots don’t have that incentive and can pay “international low” levels of compensation
But then it can be more, so they can make more than a maid, for example in some countries call center jobs for bilinguals people make double the minimum wage of the local rate.

Even needing a clearer feels living unsustainably - its living in a house too big to maintain.
And if the answer is that works takes up too much time, yes we work too many hours.

I'm not sure these are autonomous. I think these might be just remote puppets tied to a human operating them.

I don't think its a training session. Current AI models are pre-trained before deployment for inference. After the model is trained, they load it into the robots computer, and it runs inference with that model. You can't train the model again because you don't have enough memory on the robot, but also even if you did its slow and consumes energy. `The devil is in the details. Its completely different if one user has a custom trained model versus the whole user base shares a custom trained model. You have to overthink about these things carefully, otherwise you don't reach AGI.

I agree with you. This is brilliant. Tele-operation of the humanoid vs. waiting for AI is the key here. Then off-shore the tele-operation when you've smoothed out the edges.
I'll personally wait to own best hardware (Unitree) and purchase my own 3P tele-operation service contract.

#160Is this thing vastly more anatomically correct than most humanoids? Thumbs are opposable, finger roots are somewhat more behind than most, has shoulders(at all), torso has at least pitch in the middle, etc etc. I don't know if it matters, but that looks cool to me.
