If your next question is "why do they need to keep making more money?", the answer is capitalism.

Well, I wouldn't say I was missing them. I don't know why I would connect a fridge to the Internet at all. Maybe there is a use case where you can get a picture of the contents of your fridge on your phone when you are out and about? Like you're at the grocery store and can't remember if you need to pick up milk or not?
Samsung does make really great ad-free computer displays... that's as much as I'm willing to buy from them.
