Not to minimize the problem here, but there are only so many ways to code something. I've written a lot of code by hand and I can definitely imagine 1% of my code looking very close to an open source project's by virtue of it just being the way to solve the problem.

Look: do you think we're going to unwind the biggest technological change since the Internet, or even the industrial revolution, and cede dominance of this space to the Chinese? On the account of some trifling copyright?
