I believe that BI and analytics will merge into operations in the next 5 years due to Generative BI. I think GenBI is one of the most underrated fields in AI and the next big thing. Anyone has experience in this topic and wants to have a chat? Would be keen to hear some opinions.

so your argument is that GenBI will create a new subdiscipline replacing analytics? Why would this happen?

because analytics is a static, clunky, technical discipline. if somebody non technical (=non data analyst/scientist) wants insights they always have to approach a human (data analyst etc.). Then they received some answers days later with still no action.

My argument is that GenBI will do 3 things: 1) understand what is going on in your organization in real time 2) do causal analysis (so why are things moving) 3) execute some operational action

all via plain english, non technical, and in minutes instead of days.
