Things are way more cut-throat there, with much less safety net. The Chinese government sees workers as grist for the mill, not something to be cared for.

That doesn't diminish the impact it has on the rest of humanity, and by proxy, on me.
Wouldn't it be better if fewer people used TikTok, given negative impact of social media on individuals and society? Wouldn't it be better if these investors lose money on this investment?
