#7I'd settle for a way to see hacker news without all the posts complaining about all the posts covering the trending tech at the moment. In the 15 years I have been on HN, these discussions complaining about content has been centered around Social Media, Web 2.0, Big Data, Crypto, NFTs, etc. It's tiresome and a self-fulfilling prophecy.

#8Go to the /new page regularly and upvote articles that are not about AI to give them a fighting chance.
And I think commercial agendas are usually more likely to be intellectually interesting than ideological ones.
But that's me. YMMV, and probably does.
