This position is no longer available.

Geez, Seven Hills is like the middle of nowhere in Sydney lol. That's a massive ask for anyone going in.

It depends on your location. Some of our staff live locally, and some commute from all parts of Sydney and the surrounding regions. I come in via train most days and it's a 10min walk from the station.

There's a surprising amount of software jobs in Western Sydney in IoT as it's the industrial heart of the Sydney region. In our case, the office is next door to the factory, so we can collab with hardware and manufacturing folk easily.

We are having conversations about opening an office in the city - mostly for tech workers. But that is still in early conversations and there are no concrete plans or timelines yet.

TigerData (FKA Timescale) [ Global | 100% Remote | Multiple Roles: Eng, Product + more ]

We began in 2017 as Timescale, focused on making PostgreSQL the best database for time-series data. As our customers evolved, so did we.

Today, more than 2,000 companies use our technology to power real-time analytics, agentic applications, and high-ingest operational systems. What started as a time-series database has become the fastest PostgreSQL for modern workloads. To reflect that evolution, we’re now TigerData—a name that speaks to our speed, precision, and ambition. The tiger has long been part of our culture: fast, focused, powerful. From “Tiger Time” all-hands to welcoming new hires as “tiger cubs,” it’s how we build—decisively, fearlessly, and with purpose.

This is not a reinvention: it’s a reflection of how we already serve our customers today.

TigerData is growing! Check us out: https://www.tigerdata.com/careers

Applied to this last month with twenty years experience, didn't even get a reply. Yet here it is again.

I know this must be a crappy feeling, but it's against the guidelines to complain about this here. My personal recommendation is that if you strongly believe you're a fit to work at the company, find ways to connect with key people there and demonstrate credibility. Some effort and self-confidence can make all the difference sometimes. We detached this comment from https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=44436467 and ma…

I've got plenty of... confidence. And have tried contacting folks directly at times. It's never helped and there's risk of offense. I shouldn't have to stalk people to get a reply when the post and You: paragraph above exactly describes me.

A reply with a simple "we have too many qualified applicants, sorry you weren't chosen," would be fine. But that didn't happen, either the message or the reality, did it? The post appearing again proves that.

This is for Versafeed.com by the way.
