Super Mario Strikers seems to have a fixed timestep with interpolated presentation, which was somewhat more uncommon back in 2002. It looks like doing so benefitted its Wii sequel, where they needed synchronized online play.

It’s interesting to see emulator devs and rom hackers leverage this for high-framerate displays in 2025.

The Anubis tool described at the bottom under "Dolphin vs. Aggressive AI Scraper Bots" sounds quite interesting, and effective.

I had already seen it around on various sites, but my machine's fast enough that I wasn't waiting long enough to check out what it was. I think there's other implementations of the same idea, but I think this one's the standard now.

It becomes quite difficult nowadays to bookmark webpages or archive them, with CF, BotStopper/Anubis, Go Away etc... we will just need to all burn more cpu power just to access good content.
