India is also buying oil from Russia - at a discount, or used to - because it is one of the few that could do so openly. Attacking Pakistan over this also strengthens BJP’s hand and distracts everyone from the complaints that have been eroding their support, like ongoing corruption, high taxes with lower quality of life, etc. etc. Don’t expect the gulf countries to come to Pakistan’s aid over this, especially if it c…

It never does, but Modi is a sly operator. He’s spent a lot of time under the Sword of Damocles and is still around.

While this was going on, it even seemed to distract folks in the office from the US H1B situation, which is something.

I suspect both sides will milk this for awhile.

India and Pakistan came to an agreement to stop firings. But pakistan breached it.

I don't think India wants to continue this for much longer.

"People like you" - you lost me here. I'm asking out of interest, not because I'm a useful idiot for Russians, and I'm not challenging your position because someone might consider that "you are a bootlicker for Western war-mongers", but because I have a legitimate interest in the conclusions you've made and the means you've taken to reach them, and I want to see the details - not the anecdotes, not the vitriol - base…

The fact you could not find that interview is very telling - it means you are living in a state-provided bubble of censorship which doesn't allow you access to adequate information to make a proper assessment:

Russia is not Europes enemy and anyone parroting that agitprop has misanthropic purposes or seeks to profit in some way from the turmoil it produces.

>Ukraine had a negligible problem with neo-Nazis in a militia.

Another indicator that you are operating under a strict regime of state-sponsored agitprop.

>Child abductions

Lets see the ICJ case.

Apparently, some folks have either been blissfully unaware of reality or are just desperate to parade their performative wokeness. The terrorists made sure to ask the religion of the Sindoor before symbolically erasing it—because apparently, even brutality comes with selective targeting. And in a poetic twist, the government and the Army honored those very women—while unapologetically ramming that same religion right…

"The terrorists made sure to ask the religion of the Sindoor before symbolically erasing it—because apparently, even brutality comes with selective targeting."

got to correct you here, Sindoor is not a type of person to be asked about its religion lol its an accessory applied by hindu women after marriage symbolizing their marriage itself. The whole sentence is either a very shakespearean play on sindoor in which case, apologies good sir , and in case it isnt, now you know! have a nice day lol

Neither India nor Pakistan can sustain a conventional war for more than 2 weeks, as they do not have sufficient armaments. Both sides also lack an effective defence against short-range missiles and drones. If the situation deteriorates, it can quickly lead to nuclear war as nonrational actors are present on both sides. I hope this situation does not escalate further. Please note that in a conventional war, economic c…

incorrect, India can sustain a conventional war for a prolonged period. pakistan's begging for loans on twitter right now

India does not have ordnance, nor the capacity to make them quickly. Due to the Ukraine war, the same is in short supply in the open market. 2 weeks is stretching it. Please note that autonomous drones, guided bombs, ESM measures, and artillery power are crucial to sustained wars now. Both countries lack strategic bombers to deliver guided bombs effectively.

India wants peace. A peaceful India threatens Pakistan's entire existence as a military state. Therefore, Pakistan keeps instigating with outrageously cruel terrorist attacks. There are no strategic goals here. Either side may recover some vantage points high up in the Himalayas. But that's about it.

> India wants peace Not really. There are options for a negotiated peace that involves swapping land, specifically, ceding Muslim-dominant territory to Pakistan and setting borders along rivers. That's anathema in India because there is broad-based antipathy towards Islamabad, historically, and Muslims, recently.

There is no guarantee that ceding land would result in peace.

I'm not sure Pakistan is comparable to Imperial Japan. > (Source: [before the inevitable downvotes] am Indian.) How does that relate to downvotes after saying something like that?

(I'm saying that both sides dropping nukes on each other would be a good thing. I'm adding credibility to that statement by saying I have skin in the game. I'm expecting downvotes because my post is anti-pacifist.)

Yes, and I'm saying that that's obviously not a good thing.
