Originally built this to scratch my own itch, I was frustrated at having to manually create events in my calendar for basic things so I built text-2-ics. After a while, some users mentioned that they'd had problems with the tool and I discovered that they'd been attempting to create multiple events at once (for things like gym routines or their weekly timetable) which never originally occurred to me so I've now widened the scope of my original project.
