I think it just comes in waves. Years ago, I'd see links to Twitter and replies full of crypto scammer. It has been a while since I've seen that problem to that degree, though there was a smaller wave of them a few months ago.

Meanwhile, my YouTube feed regularly gets attacked with AI generated crypto ads using the Tesla or SpaceX brands.

You've been duped. Your information environment sounds very narrow, and you may be over valuing information from people who are politically similar (I believe some people call this an "echo chamber", but I'm not fond of that term.)

Strongly recommend you take steps to interrogate your inputs more critically. Or at least change the way you present, because you come across as quite dogmatic and zealous, like a flat earther.

I may disagree with people politically, but I would never ask to ban them. Heck, I don't even report people who hurl racist insults at me, I just counter-attack, just like I would in real life.

That pretty much sums up X: people hurling insults at each other while Dear Leader exhorts them to support conservatives in unblockable posts.

I get it can be satisfying, but I just walked away from the toxicity, as I would in real life.

It's not that interesting, it's essentially just tweaking some knobs here and there. The problems it causes are far worse though, it just intensifies echo chambers, and self-selected filter bubbles, and ultimately ignorance and polarization.
