It's not corruption if he didn't personally benefited from it. The problem is that if your only source of information is biased, you take the wrong decisions.

I don't think what you described is corruption. That sounds like protecting the interests of US businesses from overseas criminals.
Just because someone is or is not guilty, that does not make corruption OK.

So if I pay a cop $1mil to kill the guy that was convicted of raping my child, is that cool too? Just because someone is or is not guilty, that does not make corruption OK.
