Ask HN: How are you using LLMs to write academic papers?

I imagine that many academics and scientists struggle with the writing part of producing papers more than the research/science, at least I do. I see LLMs as a great tool for this to draft the prose.

What tools do you use for this?

I'm particularly interested in the document formats, i.e. Latex vs Markdown vs Typst ...

Thanks. PhD in 1 day is a lot more ambitious than what I have in mind lol. I'm just trying to get two papers out that I've been sitting on for years.
