shelly is a shell-like inteface for the web made with pure and vanilla HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It's completely configurable and should run decently on any browser.

Also, notable js/terminal stuff is xterm.js. It has websockets for stdin, stdout and stderr etc.

For the server backend do you mean that an npm module like bash-parser would be a requirement? I would love if you could briefly expand on this!

It sounds like user input is the _only_ input, so why not just use a POST request with a body?

So is the idea that you create commands that call different HTTP backends? Do the backends need to support the user-input-as-header stuff, or is this translated to call arbitrary HTTP backends? Please give some more info about the use-cases you are trying to support. I'm interested, but not quite interested enough to read the code to find out if I want to use this.
