SEEKING WORK - remote, email in profile.

Location: West coast Canada, remote only.

Technologies: Machine learning/AI, LLM's/RAG, Python, Pytorch/Tensorflow/Keras, A whole host of technologies over 25 year career.

With data science you can translate exactly a great portion of the world into a point on an interconnected web, which then lets you pluck that web to see the reverberations which you can translate back into the world. Without having to pluck the world, which you cannot do.

An ideal fit would be a small/medium sized company with hair on fire green or brownfield problems. I'm currently quite interested in routing/optimization problems, and small AI with logic and external memories.

Currently working on

  - ATM skimmer installation identification.
  - Elder abuse identification.
Some past work:

  - real-time Vehicle routing, Get a couch from where you are, to where you want it to be.
  - Failure prediction for a well known stuttgart auto maker.
  - Server fleet failure prediction for a well known cloud vendor. Give a 5 minute warning to do load shedding.
  - Voice agent in the pre-LLM era. The goal oriented structure used is likely to make a comeback as "router" infra between models.
  - Taxi fleet maintenance optimization and failure prediction for a latam taxi company.
  - Automated sports highlights - Feed in video, get highlights of diving catches, touchdowns, etc.
  - Wound identification and mangement - Identify what sort of wound, label and categorize the tissue.
  - Account grading and revenue optimization for ARM.
  - Maritime anti-piracy - Identifying pirate skiffs, and at risk vessels.
Who shouldn't contact me:

  - Ads or gambling. I'd rather sleep at night. Thanks.

I'm offering work in the specific niche of converting Fortran code to Javascript via WASM to run in the web.

I recently converted USFS's NVEL from Fortran to WASM I call in the browser. Afterwards I figured there could be other businesses who rely on legacy Fortran and want more accessible in web applications.

SEEKING WORK | Exeter, NH USA | REMOTE | Copywriter Have a new product launching soon? Or some content you have been meaning to write?

My name is Jeremy Barbosa and I am a SaaS copywriter ready to help you increase your sales! Originally a software engineer for a cloud storage unicorn, I became an educator to teach others how to code as well. Now I combine both of these skill sets to write about the latest technologies right as they release!

If you need writing for your product or service, reach out to me at mail@jeremybarbosa.com

Main Services

- Content Strategy: Let me plan which content will get you the most readers, and then best turn those readers into sales. Need me to write it too? That's great! I love the whole writing process, from brainstorming ideas to editing final drafts.

- Conversion Rate Optimization: Once you are a market leader, attracting more readers can be hard. By tweaking how your content is presented, I can help you better inspire your current readers to take action now.

- Blog, Email, and Website Copywriting: Want just the writing? That works too! Be it outlines, drafts, or editing; I will deliver!

SEEKING WORK | Heidelberg, Germany | Remote around the world or on-site locally

I am a consulting software engineer and research scientist based in Germany. With a Ph.D. in computer science, I develop visualization systems that help my clients make sense of complex data and machine learning models.

The systems I develop typically leverage a combination of frontend and backend components. Because of this, I have expertise in a wide range of languages and frameworks.

I have more than five years of experience writing efficient and performant systems code in Rust that can also compile to WASM, while I use TypeScript together with frontend frameworks such as Svelte, React, or Vue to provide robust and rich user interactions that are intuitive to grasp for all stakeholders. I love working closely with clients to fully understand the requirements of their business domain—and helping them integrate my work by refactoring or modernizing legacy systems.

I have worked on practical projects in big tech and presented my work at Distill.pub and top academic conferences, winning multiple awards. You can find a full list of publications on Google Scholar: https://scholar.google.de/citations?user=IuSk_rUAAAAJ
