Data Engineering Is Not Software Engineering

I'd agree data has a new element but I'd watch out for the headline because it might discourage people from applying best practices that come from software engineering, particularly for products that work on data or products that incorporate data and data extract (e.g. a model of some kind)

It may be a problem that people try to apply practices that don't really apply but it's a bigger problem that people don't go at it with any discipline at all.
