If you think you're being compensated for your time, just remember, that they believe, over the course of time, your time is worth nothing.
Edit: To clarify - because your currency is worth nothing over time.

I personally like how he is trying to think of a way to look after everyone if AI leads to large amounts of unemployment. I like the idea of basic income.
At the same time though. It's weird. he get's to play around with this money and I am guessing reduces his taxes at the same time?
I am sure there are some other wealthy people doing similar but for far less benign purposes.
