I'm more worried about some ancient virus being revived when the ice melts that hasn't been seen in 2M years or whatever its been.

I had to look babuvirus banana up and all I could find is that yes, as the name suggests, the author is here is actually talking about a virus and not a species!

If the author meant to say Pentalonia nigronervosa (the aphid that apparently can help spread the virus) then they should have stated as such. It’s errors like this to don’t help the cause.
