In feudal times, society was divided into three parts: bellatores, those who fought; oratores, those who prayed; and laboratores, those who worked. According to this model of the world, even if AI took over the fighting and the working, at least humans could still occupy themselves with praying.

I'm pretty sure there is a timeline where humans are atheists but the robots are religious.

I would love to work on things out of passion, but passion doesn't shelter me from the elements nor provide a steady source of calories.
