#219% income reduction, didn't we just get a 50% income reduction through uneven inflation (everyone pays uneven inflation that is much higher than the cpi)... these governments don't need to do this over 26 years, they just did it in 2

It’s the lost income due to the effects of warming such as lower crop production

Current generation spends (outputs GHG), next generation pays (havoc due to changed climate). And: rich people spend, poor people pay.
If anything, this would be a good reason to put younger people in politics: have long-term decisions taken by people that actually have an interest in the outcome.
Having mostly greybeards in power, could well have a similar effect on policy as CEOs chasing next-quarter's profit & jump ship before shtf.
