Why is this even a surprise? Pornographic content is massively popular with the Twitch demographic (young men); surely we can't be surprised that people will produce that kind of content if it's popular (i.e. it pays well). OnlyFans exists, right? This is just boundary-blurring.

This isn’t measuring whether female streamers are sexualizing themselves. It’s measuring what kind of clips get the most views from Twitch’s audience of mostly young male viewers. It shows that they watch a lot of clips from women using Twitch to advertise their OnlyFans pages, who tend to stream in the categories listed.
There are many popular female Twitch streamers who just play video games (in categories dedicated to video games) and are not sexualizing themselves at all.

My own bias sees prudes and very religious right leaning types on HN posting all sorts of posts on “porn” or women’s sexuality lately. These links always come from highly suspect sites. I say bias as I can’t imagine where else the pearl clutching is coming from. “Just asking questions” I guess.
