As a biker, I feel MICH safer around self driving cars because I know they are paying attention.

I don’t need to check if they see me. They do.

1.4 times as fast is not "almost" twice as fast. 50 is twice as fast as 25; 49 is 1.4 times as fast as 35 which is 1.4 times as fast as 25.

My aunt (against TOS) built a private driver business based on her personality after driving Lyft from the airport. That’s not how humans actually work. Driving is one of the last big job sources for millions of Americans and when it disappears there will be many people out of work. Expect more homeless and drug use when people have difficulty transitioning in a post driver world.

How will waymo help with something like the super bowl? It's going to be overcapacity too.

Waymo said it would take 30 minutes to arrive, but would've arrived in 30 minutes. I can plan around that.
