#103I have over 20 years’ experience building software, specialising in:
• Technical applications (mathematical, scientific, engineering)
• Software for hardware (IoT, embedded, lab equipment)
• Interesting presentation (custom UIs, data viz, multimedia/video)
My target market is start-ups/scale-ups/SMEs needing immediate help with either hands-on development work or technical leadership.
For small to medium applications — such as an MVP for a startup, a UI for a hardware product, or implementing mathematical models and visualisations for researchers — I can offer a fully outsourced development service if required.
I can also join an existing team temporarily to give a short-term boost, perhaps helping with a challenging project or co-ordinating a larger initiative across teams. This can include a training/mentoring element if you need to upskill quickly.
Every project is different and will be treated as such, but recently I’ve been favouring TypeScript or Python for web development (with React or Vue for UI work) and Python, C++ or Haskell for more technical or hardware-related work. I have experience with a wide range of target platforms from AWS to embedded ARM.
If you have a project that I may be able to help you with, you’re welcome to get in touch. My contact details are in my profile.

Hi, I'm Nat. I've previously worked as a marketing and visual designer for Fast and several other startups in Silicon Valley. Recently, I decided to establish an affordable design subscription service for those who need professional design work but aren't yet ready to hire a full-time designer. With a monthly subscription, I commit to focusing on creating stunning designs that elevate your product. No fuss, just great design.

#110We are a small, close-knit team of software craftspeople, spanning the range from mid-level to very senior (some of us have been writing code for 20+ years). We have worked with a range of clients in a variety of industries including Retail Sales, In-Person and Remote Conference Production, Accounting, Manufacturing, and more.
If you are a larger organization, we can help you increase your efficiency, and leverage the open source community (we're also the team behind the Lambda Island open source project) to get to the next level. If you are a startup still looking to make your first hire, we excel at advising new companies on how to choose the right technology, grow the right culture, and build the best team.
But you don't have to take our word for it! Check out our website for testimonials from Nextjournal (who we helped get off the ground) and more: https://gaiwan.co
