SEEKING WORK - software development - remote

Recent languages: Clojure, Clojurescript, Ruby, Python, Javascript, Lua, Rust

Recent technologies: PostgreSQL, Rails, Django, React

Email: zak.wilson@gmail.com

Github: https://github.com/zakwilson/

A few things I've worked on: priceonomics.com, remarkbox.com, trucentive.com

I'm looking for freelance projects from short-term to long-term. The technologies listed above represent recent experience that I'd be productive with immediately, but are in no way an exclusive list. If you're using something different, perhaps something hard to hire for, I'm always interested in learning something new.

SEEKING WORK | Remote | US Citizen

Looking for computer vision work, specifically multi-view stereo projects: camera calibration, SfM, scene reconstruction, 3D object triangulation, 3D multi-object tracking. 2D problems, video processing. I mostly work in Python and C++, but the stack is not super important to me. I have 13 years of experience as a software engineer, several doing computer vision. Self-directed, I do not require a lot of management. I go the extra mile producing technical notes, reports, visualizations, etc. to help communicate my results. References available upon request.

RECENT PROJECTS

- Prioritize between competing subjects in video

- Create smooth panning crop-out region for each subject

- Naturally transition focus between different subjects Real-time soccer markerless motion capture

SEEKING WORK | Philadelphia, PA | Remote or Local

Technologies: a lot, but mostly Python, Django, PostgreSQL, AWS, GCP

Résumé: https://www.amecy.com/work/Plick_resume_web_2023-10.pdf

Email: tomplick AT gmail.com

For the most part, my résumé only has my professional experience on it. To see more of what I've done, please visit my work summary at https://www.amecy.com/work/ . In particular, if you play chess, check out my chess training site at https://www.checkmatechamp.net/ . That site runs on the Google Cloud Platform and uses Python on the backend. The frontend is a mix of vanilla JS and OCaml (using js_of_ocaml).

My experience at startups has helped me learn how to build systems, and how to keep them running, simply and with minimal resources. For example, as of this writing, Checkmate Champ has been running for 509 days without my intervention.

There are other technologies I touched, but my key principles are: - Getting to the root of business problems. - Iteratively implementing pragmatic solutions. - Saying what I'll do, doing what I said, and communicating if anything changes.

Preference for climate tech and nature-positive applications, but open to other areas that have a positive impact.
